gekilin.ディレクションによる企画グループ展「NOVA」を開催いたします。

本展示会では6名の若手アーティストをセレクトいたしました。

どの作家も自身を取り巻く今の社会と真摯に向き合い、新たな表現を追求し続ける者たちです。

1980年前後に生まれた彼らは日本のバブル経済の崩壊から阪神淡路大震災、就職氷河期、リーマンショック、そして東日本大震災と「失われた20年」と呼ばれる時代の中で育ちました。

インターネットやスマートフォンの普及により快適さを手に入れた時代の進化とは裏腹に、この20年間で日本は豊かさとは別の、大きな何かを失いました。

そんな彼らが新たな表現を追求していこうとする姿勢は、新しい時代の新しい希望を築き上げていこうとする姿勢でもあります。

gekilin.企画グループ展「NOVA」、希望のある未来に向かった「新しい星」を提案いたします。

gekilin. is a contemporary art gallery in Osaka, Japan that deals with 30th to 40th age young artists.

I selected six young artists at this exhibition.

All artists are people who face the present society and continue to pursue new expressions.

Born around 1980, they grew up in an era called "The Lost 20 Years". 

The burst of Japan's bubble economy, The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, The employment ice age, The Lehman shock, and The Great East Japan Earthquake.

Contrary to the evolution of the time when comfort was gained through the spread of the Internet and movile phones, 

Japan has lost big something in the past 20 years, something different from richness.

Such attitude that they try to pursue new expression is an attitude to try to build new hope of new era.
